I was delighted that my friend Sanjay had arrived from Bangalore but I was equally feeling sad that I was going to miss all the memories we had when we were in Bangalore. I wondered where he stayed as he said he was here on a special visit to secure a student visa for the United States. (Ahh I wish even I could go) The so called "BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD" is so tempting to all of us isn't it?
Since this was officially the last time I could meet him here in India I decided I ll make the best use of it. We decided to have a little tour of our own.
" Which is your favourite hangout place in the city?" he popped the question to me
Chennai Citi Centre I said. And without wasting more time we made a quick plan to hangout at the Chennai City Centre which is also an archaeologist s delight
Going there itself was a huge challenge. I had known from my previous trips here that the Auto Drivers are nothing short of Vampires
and you will have to give them WHAT THEY ASK. there is no question of arguing hang up your boots consider you can never win the argument. Believe it or not. This is Chennai Mere Yaar.
The plan was to get dropped off to a well known place Ambika Apallam and then take a bus to get to city centre. No desired buses in sight waiting waiting 10 minutes later we realize we re on the opposite side. We laugh it off to hide the embarassment and cross the road. Then we wait on the correct side. 10 minutes later still no bus. We have no other option than to hire a vampire to take us there. And he makes full use of the situation 110 rupees he says. We somehow manage to get it down to 80 and then we head to the lovely Chennai Citi Center.
We caught up our conversation over coffee and discussed everything under the sun. From Friends to What he could do there during free time in USA. Time flew like never before and a couple of hours later we headed back to our respected destinations again hiring Vampires.
With handshakes and good wishes we bade each other goodbye.
After I reached home I just relaxed and wrote my blog before crashing out.
Gr8 job bro.. keep it up.. love the "Maa da ladla" part.. :D :D
