Ampa Mall Madness

I had heard about this new mall in Chennai which opened called Ampa mall. As you know that I love malls alot I really wanted to check it out. I somehow got my aunt convinced and pretty soon we were on our way to the mall. After we reached the mall my cousin and I decided to seperate from the group and explore on our own. We tried to be sober but our mad side took over. We entered this apple store and after getting an explaination of the Apple Mac decided to check some features for ourselves. The Photo booth feature available only on Mac s was awesome and a perfect ingredient for our madness. This is what we did

First Day at Work

June 10th- Today is my First day of work in Chennai. I am going to be starting off what I intended to be doing because of my exisistance here. I get up to the song " Maa Da Ladla" which was my alarm. I take a look outside its 7 am but its nice and bright. Without wasting time I dash off to brush my teeth and then to read the newspaper in my grandfather's room. I read the news. All negative negative negative.

Nonetheless pretty soon I am done with the newspaper and my creamy coffee and after a shower I have my English breakfast of bread and egg. After breakfast there still is some time left so I just browse through the television not really watching anything. Its 9 30 when I have to leave for work in my uncle s Silver Toyota Innova

The torrid city has no effect on us as we re enjoying some lovely religious music in the car with the AC on in full swing...

We arrived at Medavakkam, my uncle s work place at 11 am and then my uncle s instructions took over. He said

" Just observe what the people are doing and try to learn as much as you can"

Then as I take my first step into the office I see all new faces around me. But that doesnt deter me as I know I can make lots of friends here. I am introduced to the staff by my cousin brother Chandeep who also works there as an Administrator. I start off with stopping at the managers workstation. The manager Mr Anand is a wonderful guy and always willing to help. He explains to me about his role as the manager. The one to control the office and just one step below my uncle The MD himself. I spend time understanding Mr Anands role in the process until lunch and then have a sumptious lunch.

Since it is my first day I get the choice of food and order my favourite Chicken Fried Rice with Garlic Chicken. After lunch, my uncle and I head back home. The first day comes to an end.

After I reach home I have a shower yet again as you have to shower twice to beat the Chennai heat. I get online to write my blog and simultaneously check out my facebook page.

Dinner of Dal and Roti follows and I watch some TV till 11 and then call it a day.

Cacophony and Coffee

DEAR FRIENDS: I am still not too sure about how to write a blog. I am trying something out. For all you expert bloggers: Feedback,Comments, Word of advise needed.

June 9th 11:00 AM- I have just arrived at the Chennai central platform by the Shatabdi Express and the first smell i get is the smell of coffee that tickle the nosebuds. Then I am greeted at the station by my cousin and my grandmother. I am staying with my grandparents and my uncle aunt and cousin sister who takes me to the car park. I explain to her " I am here with a purpose" The 5 hour train journey has made me tired. I just have a nap and am almost dozed off for the whole day only to get up by 5 pm to have Coffee. The coffee is strong and creamy just the way I like it.
