As I get a confirmation that I will be going back to Bangalore for good on the 3rd of January I realise that this is where the blog has to end. As I write these last pages I think to myself that this experience in Chennai has had its own share of ups and downs. I have learnt alot and have gone through certain things that I would like to put it aside. Overall it has been a positive experience. Bye Bye Chennai

Improvements in Life
About a month later I write this post in my Chennai book speaking about the way I have improved from the first day at work i e June 10th to today November 20th. This is like an amateur turning into a winner in a particular field. It was expected to happen and Im so glad that it indeed has. Respect has also grown and now they call me sir not for my closeness to the Boss Himself but because I am quite good at what I do. It is essential that a person s feet are grounded and I realize that aspect and will work for better improvement.
Until my next post see you !!!

Bored in the City
Three Months have passed ever since I set my foot on Chennai soil. In these three months I may have achieved alot but then it has made me bored. With hardly any friends in this city it is even more difficult to know how time passes. Yet, Sometimes I feel that time passes swiftly. Months seem to fly fast and that in a way is a good sign. The city s transport problems have made it even more difficult to commute and this seems to be adding fuel to the fire. Nonetheless, the best way to get over it is by saying " This too shall pass" this makes me feel good though...

Bangalore dreams
60 hours before I sit in the train that will chug its way to Bangalore,

I set up my countdown. Yes, My trip home is coming soon. It is due to this excitement that Im on no mood to work and just try to do as much as I can.

I can already feel the cool breeze of Bangalore do its bit to ruffle my hair as I walk past. The smell of coffee that greets you when you set foot on the Bangalore City Railway Station Platform.

The memories of friends, old workplace and everything else that makes you expectant of this journey. The city of Gardens, Coffee and Girls is in sights.

The only blemish to this wonderful city is the hordes of traffic that pile up on the roads during peak hours and the one ways which would make it a humungous task for those who wish to take lessons behind the wheel.

Otherwise it is a beautiful city. The auto drivers here are saints compared to the vampires in the coastal city of Chennai. The Radio offers a choice of Hindi and English music for people of cosmopolitan culture as they understand the importance of the Indian diaspora that keeps piling up to make this city their home as a result of being lured by the wonderful climate and the IT boom.

Bangalore is a shoppers delight. You have just about anything you wish for here at affordable prices. This is what makes people throng shopping hubs like MG Road Brigade Road Commercial Street National Market and the handful of shopping malls that offer goods to those who have bulging wallets.
THIS IS BANGALORE in a gist. Keep reading for further updates..........

Drama Discussion
Today was supposed to be another boring day in office looking at the pic orders and marking them, However towards evening there was a major drama discussion we had today where my room was oozing with ideas. The salvos fired from 5 sides was brainstorming. Two cute lawyers walked in with mufti

and provided some ideas to us which helped us in a major way
The skit has some flesh on it now
We ll have to wait and see how the body shapes up.

Heading Home YEAH
I am thrilled today as my ticket back home has been booked. I am leaving to Bangalore

on Independence Day eve and I just cant stop counting the days. After an impressive ordeal of two and a half months I am going home to have some rest and do some arrears which were unable to finish on time. Lets hope things turn out well. I am however not going alone. Im taking my friend Mohit along who along with his brother Chiranjeev has filled my life here in Chennai with rich colour.

Being without friends is like being in a desert without water for me. Its difficult to survive unless you are a camel.

Work goes on as usual and then I come back home and relax and write my blog as the sun goes down

Hero Honda Cares
A new type of an event took place today. Something which I have never seen. The leading two wheeler company in the country once again stood by its slogan " WE CARE" The programme was basically involving volunteers to ride over makeshift barriers and speed breakers using cones and a ladder. The event saw 15 riders compete with one another and yet try their best to teach the general public safe driving techniques. The event drew many eyeballs and was a great success.
Later back home. Same routine evening
FRIENDS, DINNER, BLOG, SLEEP.....

Work with a tinge of fun
Today was mostly work laced with a hint of fun. The day started off with a visit to Guru Nanak College as my travel plan was upside down. I sat in my uncle s room and was talking to him about the skit that we have planned. He was enthusiastic about and gave us the go ahead signal but the date has yet not been finalized.I ordered a cold coffee for fun and had anticipated that I can take it out to the open and drink it, But my hopes were dashed and I was asked to have coffee looking at my uncle (and not the scenery outside) lol....Like there is anything at all to see.

Later sada papaji Chandeep arrived like The Undertaker on his bike

And as per the instructions of my uncle I had to scoot with him to the office.
At the office mood is different, People all working very busily. But our Papa ji is cool as usual. I get down to work. I type a letter for a staffer and then go check out what I call...an unexplored section of the office. Meanwhile the truck arrives and stock taking goes on.

While the workers count in Tamil, I count in English. A trip to the mesanine floor brings some laughter on my lips. The staff throw boxes like they re having catching practise.

Its a funny moment to see. I learn about the parts a little more and I am more confident. After that we have lunch together and just discuss personal stuff. Later on I just get back to the truck and count a little more when my uncle calls me to go home,

Super Sunday
This was an awesome day seriously. I dedicated this day to my friends Mohit and Chiranjeev. I got up by 9 o clock on a Lazy Sunday Morning. I was aware that today was going to be a great day. I got ready by 11 after breakfast bath paper coffee and walk and then went over to their house. Their parents were wonderful as usual. We saw some of the pictures of the places that they had been to. They had visited Bangalore and stayed in Koramangala. (So Close!!!) But they didnt know me then for if they did we would ve met up and trotted along the entire garden city. Later on we read some crazy kickass book on palmistry in a bid to understand how to read palms. We couldnt make head or tail of the book it was all Greek and Latin to us.

We spend some time together in front of the IDIOT BOX watching " The Secret" it was a nice movie but we didnt have time to do so. We were planning to go out to some place and hangout but we didnt have any time. Many attempts to call friends proved futile for transport problem.
We had so much fun that we lost track of the time and didnt realize when it was time to go. Later on we went to Guru Nanak College and after bowing my head to seek God s blessings we dashed out to create madness with the big gang we had. My Bro Chandeep was in full josh. His jokes and his PUNJABI accent put us in splits. We laughed so much that we had stomach aches.

Tales of college habits and old crushes brought a new flavour to the evening as we then headed off to eat Langar. It was a crazy sunday if u ask me. I really wished I had a time machine and I could go back to this day whenever I wanted.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!
It was a scare for me on this Saturday morning. I got up went for a walk in the park and came back and lazed around and expected it to be a holiday and then my aunt scared me by saying that I had work today. Working on Saturday morning Oh no

Nevertheless I took it as a challenge and got ready and went to work. When I reach office I get another shock.

NOT A SOUL at my work station.
I felt deceived that I was asked to work and everyone else had an off. My shock gave way to comfort as I saw they were on the floor above looking at some work stuff on the computer. I did some checking of goods, then I helped out a staffer with her mails. There was some confusion because she had a couple of mails to be sent whhich were similar. But later on I figured out the difference and helped her. I went home by 4 today and then it was all fun. I went to City Centre with my friends and we have lots of fun. There was a promo going on and this pretty announcer was making guys dance. While we had ideas to make her dance. We hung around for awhile and then we had Chicken at KFC.

My friends call me Clairvoyant, they say why does whatever you say happen? I dont know myself but once again God heard me. We wanted a seat, The restaurant was full as it is always on a saturday evening, I just said I wish we find an empty seat and WOW!!!!! almost immediately we got 4 ppl get off from couch sort of seats!! GOD U ROCK......We feasted on the Chicken, Burgers and Cokes and then we returned home. After that I just sat down to write my blog...

Hard work Phew!!
Major Achievement
Imagine seeing a really cute girl in Chennai. Its close to a miracle isnt it. Well lets just say the miracle took place today. When I was on the way to office in the Black Swift I saw this really pretty girl standing at the bus stop that too.

I really worked like a dog today.

Checking so many of these orders makes u tired as you realize that at what speed they dictate the details for which you need to be really careful as one mistake could prove very costly
I spent some couple of hours in the checking department and then moved on with a staffer to the picking department.
The picking department is the place where the spare parts are collected before they are put in a box. It resembles a supermarket.

It was a nice experience visiting there. Each part is neatly arranged according to serial nos. This makes it easier to pick. Serial nos are alphabetically arranged. Later on I was asked to go to the Front office and sit there to watch how they handle customers. It all sounded like Greek and Latin to me. But my presence there was all that they wanted.
Then I came home and spend some time w my family.
After that I just sat and wrote my blog

Compensated Day
I felt today was a pretty much balanced day. The day started off with going for work and getting involved with the company intensely. As per my wishes, I was inserted in the checking department of the office. The checking department works in seeing that proper number of spare parts are packed after the packing department puts them in the boxes as per the checklist given.
So I started off with this work and when I looked at the order I realized that it was gigantic and had to be careful in making sure the right amount of goods were packed. As a lot of importance is given to anyone who tries to achieve perfection. So it took me awhile even though the others worked like pros. There were about 10 such orders to handle and I could say that I was able to handle these orders clearly.
Soon it was lunchtime. For the first time I had non veg packed for me by the person who packs the food. It may sound weird but it was a good treat for me.We had an amazing lunch and then I got ready to leave the office.
I went to pick up my cousin from school on the way. I have no clue why it seemed like a surprise for her. But when our eyes met each other she looked puzzled and asked who I was.
I couldn’t help but start laughing.
But it was a mild laugh. Then we got back home and everyone was getting ready to go to Ampa Mall to have fun. However I had other plans. I was planning on going and seeing my friends Mohit and Chiranjeev at their house today and Im happy that I got the time to do so. I was lucky I had the car to take me there else I had to put up with the vampires. Their house wasn’t all that far off and as I got into the car to take me there I recollected all the fun we had when they had come here. It took me just about 15 minutes to find their house and when I reached there I felt amazing. The hospitality was fantastic and I really loved every moment I cherished there. We listened to songs, checked out Chiranjeev’s awesome digi cam which he uses to capture his world through the lens.
It really gave me the wow feeling because our experiments with the camera features gave us fantastic results. Soon It was time to leave and they were being so hospitable by offering to drop me.But I decided on going back in my car itself.
Later on I came back home and the gang had returned back from Ampa Mall. I may have missed something there but nonetheless I had fun here too. My other cousins had turned up too and we spend time with each other. There is a demand for Pepsi,7up and Fanta and we go in the dark night sky to the shop to buy the Pepsi,7up and Fanta.
Dogs chase us along the way and frighten us out of our guts.
Nonetheless we evade them. and then we get back and have a gigantic dinner of Dosa, Chutney, Sambhar,
Pav Bhaji
and Gobi Manchurian
together as one big family. Bonding is better.
Later after they leave and I think of all these memories and it seriously makes me laugh.
After all the excitement, I get back to my room, switch on the air-conditioner and sit down to write my blog.
